As part of our latest renovation, onesixone has several new spaces that may be used for private or corporate events. With a capacity of over 320 and 3 distinct levels (including a large rooftop lounge and a cosy VIP cocktail bar), onesixone is perfect to make a small function of 50 look exciting or one that is upwards of 300 feel intimate.

Rooftop

The new rooftop lounge is a design masterpiece that provides an outdoor space that is not a tacked on smokers box, but an extremely comfortable and stylish haven for smokers and non-smokers alike. The rooftop is of split level design that has its own fully stocked cocktail bar, heated lounges, fully equipped DJ console and hi-fidelity sound system, retractable awnings, full Audio and Visual display system and even it’s own outdoor kitchen. The space is ideal for those wishing to host daytime or evening functions in the sunshine or on a clear Melbourne night.

Main Level

This is the space that has established onesixone’s name across the country. It is a lavish and colourful environment that is infamous for its underground fashion and music launches, that is equipped with all the comforts and technologies required to host any event, from full scale fashion shows to corporate functions and product launches. The space is equipped with a world renowned NEXO sound system and was the first venue in Australia to showcase, what has now become the most sought after audio system in the world.

No expense has been spared on sound and the extremely “low-tech” 70’s light dance-floor is juxtaposed to the most up to date sound technology available. Along with a state of the art DJ console, the main level features a full spec band PA (good enough for artists such as Wolf Mother, Ben Harper and Bertie Blackman) including all microphones, leads, stands and other gizmos that make music launches and feature performances easily produced.

There are also projection capabilities via a selection of high-def digital projectors and old-fashioned slide projectors, full air-conditioning/heating, comfortable banquette lounges, fully stocked cocktail bar and staff that are trained to make your event stress free, to you and impressive to your guests.

Cocktail Bar (onesixfive)

This is the newest addition to the venue and, already has become extremely popular for those holding more intimate events. This space was initially set up 4 years ago, however it was limited in space and therefore never received much attention. In the last few months, this has all changed as onesixone was able to acquire an adjoining shop and expand the tiny bar into a stunning but cosy space that now accommodates around 80–90 guests.

This bar is stocked with delicious and unusual spirits and the bar staff are always keen to showcase their knowledge and skill by preparing an endless variety of cocktails tailored to your taste-buds.

The ground level (or onesixfive as it has become known), is fully equipped with a professional DJ console, full NEXO hi-fidelity sound system, banquette/booth lounges, toilets, separate smoking area and a luxurious fit out that is perfect for the smaller function or for those that want an even more exclusive feel to their event.

Catering

Onesixone does not do on-site catering, as we prefer to focus on the areas we do best…(music, entertainment, cocktail and other beverage service, etc), however we do use and recommend a couple of local catering companies, depending on your requirements and our event co-ordinator will be happy to go through these options with you. We are also happy to discuss the option of you selecting your own caterer and we are happy to consult and work with them if this will suit your event better.

Presentations

Onesixone is fully equipped for your business presentation or event speeches. We are equipped with 3 digital projectors and have screens and cabling throughout the venue for use if required. We also have a Sennheiser cordless microphone system that can be directed through the in house PA and our system is deigned in a way that you can to continue music in one space whilst holding voice or data presentations in another.
